Last weekend Lukas Bauer raced into second place in Beitstoelen. But today he was unbeatable and made it all the way to the top. Lukas Bauer was in the lead already at 7,6 km and during the rest of the race was it Lukas Bauer show. In the last uphill had he time to shake hand with the spectators. When the race was over he could look at the result list and notice that he was 20,4 seconds ahead of Eldar Roenning. Axel Teichmann started the race really slow but did an impressive finish and was only 1,5 seconds behind Roenning.

Bauer’s start of the season is impressive and in Beitostoelen last weekend he said:
– I’m surprised that that the season has started this well. I had many weeks this summer without training but during the last weeks I have felt very good.

Eldar Roening did a really bad race yesterday and fell in the quarterfinal. He hit one of the other skiers with his pole and had to pay a fee of 1200 SEK for that. Today Eldar was in a better mode and did a great race.
Axel Teichmann opened today’s race really slow but during the last part he was outstanding and made it all the way to third place.

The Swedes had a bad day today:

Kris Freeman did a really good race and placed 5th, only 5,6 seconds outside the podium.
