Emil Joensson placed second at today’s World Cup sprint in Kuusamo. Only 1,2 seconds behind Johan Kjoelstad, Norway. Mats Larsson also did a good competition and ended at third place.

Last year Emil Joensson was alone in the final together with six Norwegian skiers at the World Cup sprint in Kuusamo. Then he ended at sixth place but today was he only defeated by Johan Kjoelstad. In the final was also Mats Larsson who took a silver medal at the World Championships in Japan. Mats has had a lot of problems with sickness the whole fall so placing third today was an amazing race for him.

Fastest in the qualification round was Bjoern Lind. He also won his quarterfinal but fell in the semi final and ended the day with a third place in the small final. Andrew Newell, USA placed fourth in the final.

Petra Majdic won the ladies race ahead of Astrid Jacobsen, Norway.

Charlotte Kalla almost made it to the big final as a lucky looser but had to race the small final where she placed sixth.
